You said I must eat so many lemons,
'cause I am so bitter.
I said I'd rather be with your friends mate,
cause they are much fitter
me.
I kick asses.

"I love you just the way you are"; "I could not have asked for a better you." All common (or for the unlucky ones, uncommon?) utterances, that makes us foolish little girls giddy with happiness, and we have a tendency to mistake this giddiness for love, sometimes at least. God knows what the boys are actually thinking when they say this though. But what i am really trying to say is, don't you think that it's just ironic. How we spend so much time, fixing ourselves up before the mirror, applying and reapplying that makeup, and scrutinising every single bit of that reflection. Yet, we still ask to be accepted for who we are. Are we being unrealistic that way? Or are these separate issues, that are wrongly being discussed together, here? Cos vanity is something we girls feed off. And the need to be loved and accepted for who we are is merely an affirmation of our individuality; that we are special and thus expect that to be seen by others. Or maybe i am just reading too much into this. I am not sure.
