To stop taking things for granted

cos all it takes is a little faith;
faith in a future that is blissful and bright
faith in the belief that we will find happiness together
faith in my love, and yours, both timeless and forever
and faith in the goodness of your soul

humans are fallible;
to their anger, envy, cowardice, pride
but i see beyond all those shades of yours
and admire the colour i see beneath it all
the one that is pure and silver

i am happy and grateful
that i have you by my side today
i ask nothing from you but to continue loving me
as you always have
and i will give you every bit of that happiness and love
that you deserve

cos we both have faults
both equally as bad
but not worth losing what we share together for
thank you for reminding me that last night
i really needed it
